"I am cringe but i am free"- The art of being cringe

Korny / Karen Khodur

Description

All through my life i never felt like i fit in and struggled to make true friends. Even in the circle i ended up in, i still felt off and out of place. In a world where trends are fast-paced and the newer generations in public spaces and social media are dictating what is "okay" and "not okay", i ended up realizing something. Im too CRINGE. Ick. So i tried to mold myself to fit in but it didnt feel right. And felt disconnected from who i am and even what i enjoy! It even affected my art and what i allowed myself to draw and animate. Until i decided to let go and embrace who i truly am, an utterly cringey, silly, colorful mess and i never felt more free. I wish to inspire people through this talk to embrace their messiest, silliest, and stupidest sides and to teach them how truly liberating it is to just allow yourself to be CRINGE, not just in individuality and personal development, but also in work and personal projects. And also teach the things and tricks i learned on how to be unapologetically me, as well as the myth of being "cool" to fit in. Session will also include (both serious and silly) affirmations for audience to repeat
