It’s that time of the year again. The Summer season is here, which means it’s time to plan for the next THU Main Event in Tróia, Portugal, happening between September 19 - 24!
Planning your trip can go a long way to avoid getting overwhelmed with the usual expenses. Although we tend to run a little wild while on vacation, it’s great to be able to experience THU without turning up the heat on our wallets too much. We picked the brains of both experienced tribe members and newbies to discuss together with us a few suggestions to get a head start on your holiday saving:
Pay for your ticket through installments
The installments plan option allows you to pay the ticket in small portions for a fixed period. If you use this payment method in June, you still manage to pay for it in three installments, starting now until August.

Use the shuttle service THU provides once you arrive in Lisbon!
THU will provide buses to and from the Lisbon airport.
Although this service is not available 24h, we do our best to arrange a van for smaller groups whenever possible. Once you reach the arrival hall at the airport, find the THU team at the welcome point to help find the best solution for you.
Alternatively, you can also share a ride from Lisbon to Setúbal.

Try our power snack options between talks! We offer quality coffee, energy drinks, fruit from local vendors, and water-refill stations to keep your energy levels up - for free!
Don't shy away from the daily Happy Hour sunset drinks! Let the day's activities sink in, grab a drink and enjoy some relaxing time before dinner.
Do a bit of budget-friendly tourism!
The peninsula is filled with natural beauty and opportunities for some physical activity. You can do hikes or rent a bike and explore the several beaches of Troia or, if you prefer, take back the Catamaran and explore the beautiful city of Setúbal, starting with one of the THU team favorites - The fish and vegetable market of Livramento! It houses over one hundred local vendors under one roof to bring you the best, freshest, local products that will awaken your taste buds.
