When director Tim Miller and visual effects supervisor David Stinnett opened Blur Studio in 1995, their main goal was to craft visually striking, engaging narratives – a mission that remains true to this day.

Their robust pipeline and flexible production model is designed to expand to meet varying needs as they continue to move forward into content development, both independently and through partnerships with accomplished directors and writers.
With a driven team of directors, producers and artists, and a character workflow to bring any imaginable creature to life, they have created intergalactic sequences for “Avatar,” uniquely designed FX sequences for “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” critically acclaimed game trailers, commercial collaborations with directors like Joe Kosinski and massive campaigns for brands like HBO, Netflix, FX, Toshiba and Pepperidge Farm’s Goldfish Crackers.
Their work spans immersive stereoscopic animation for a 3D attraction at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi, an award-winning immersive, photo-real time lapse elevator media experience for Manhattan’s One World Observatory, abstract black-on-black opening titles for “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” and the creation of nearly one hour of game cinematics for “Halo 2: The Master Chief Collection.”
In 2004, they received an Academy Award nomination for their short film “Gopher Broke,” one of five original projects written, directed, and produced in-house. In addition to an ongoing slate of games, film, and advertising projects for EA, Fox, Microsoft, Universal, Marvel, Y&R, Warner Bros, Activision, Paramount, Bungie and more, Blur is attached to multiple full-length feature film and television projects. Released in February of this year, Tim Miller directed the Fox/Marvel feature “Deadpool,” starring Ryan Reynolds, with Blur completing a significant portion of the visual effects as well as the stunning frozen moment opening title sequence.
