Karin Fong is an Emmy award-winning director and designer. A founding member of Imaginary Forces, she works at the intersection of live-action, design, and animation. Among her best-known works are the title sequences for The Wheel of Time, Little Fires Everywhere, Boardwalk Empire, Counterpart, as well as the main titles of numerous feature films, including the recent Spider-Man: No Way Home. From large-scale installations to video game content, Karin’s diverse projects showcase her unique voice in visual storytelling.

Karin Fong is a director and designer working at the intersection of live-action, design, and animation. Among her best-known works are the title sequences for The Wheel of Time, Cowboy Bebop, Little Fires Everywhere, Boardwalk Empire, Lisey’s Story, as well as the main titles of numerous feature films, including the recent Spider-Man: No Way Home. She has also directed spots for major brands, including LEGO, Lexus, Target, Sony PlayStation,and Herman Miller. From large scale installations to video game content , Karin’s diverse projects showcase a hybrid approach to visual storytelling, infusing cinematic live-action and animation with a design aesthetic. Karin studied art as an undergrad at Yale, before cutting her teeth in television at WGBH Boston, and then joining R/GA to work on film projects. In 1996, she became a founding member of Imaginary Forces. Named by Fast Company as one of its 100 Most Creative People in Business, Karin has received numerous accolades in advertising and entertainment, including the Emmy Award for Outstanding Main Title Design. Her work has been featured at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, The Walker Art Center, The Wexner Center, SXSW, Artists Space, and in many publications about design and film. The recipient of the 2018 AIGA Medal, Karin is member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) and has lectured and taught at art schools, festivals, and conferences around the world.
