After studying Directing for Animation in his birthplace - Sofia, Bulgaria, Nikolay spent over twenty years working in London, UK on a wide variety of Film, TV and Commercials projects. Having directed several shorts films with festival acclaim, and a TV series for BBC - Sergeant Stripes - 2005, Nikolay was a Storyboard Director on another BBC children series - Messy goes to Okido, Story Artist on The Amazing World of Gumball for Cartoon Network as well as on Commercials for Framestore UK, Passion Pictures and Squint/Opera London, for both Animation and Live-action projects. Nikolay was a story artist on the feature film Fantastic Mr Fox, directed by Wes Anderson and more recently the feature film Sherlock Gnomes for Paramount Animation.
