After 20 years as part of the award-winning duo Gamarjobat, Ketch left the duo to re-begin his solo career in 2019.

Ketch has been touring in Japan and Edinburgh with his solo theatre show “KetchSketch” The show got 5 star and 4 reviews in Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2024.

1992

After learning mime at Tokyo mime institute, Ketch started performing in theatres, streets and festivals all over the world.

 

1999

Started performing as one half of comedy duo Gamarjobat, re-knowned for their award-winning physical comedy.Spanning two decades, they performed in 35 countries.

2019

Left Gamarjobat and started performing solo shows.

Started directing and teaching, drawing on his performance experiences in 39 countries.

 

2020

Taught physical comedy workshops in Nagasaki and Osaka, Japan.

Appeared in several TV shows in Nagasaki and Kyushu, Japan, and was appointed as an ambassador of Unzen-city in Nagasaki.

 

2021

Created a new solo theatre show “Ketch Sketch” and performed in Nagasaki and Nishinomiya, Japan.

Created a new solo show “Ketch comedy show” and performed in several cities in Japan.

Ran physical comedy workshops in Fukuoka and Osaka.

 

2022

Physical comedy adviser for a theatre company in UK.

“Ketch comedy show” at the Brighton fringe in UK and a festival in Pennabilli, Italy.

A Japanese documentary TV featured Ketch, filming close coverage in Japan, UK and Italy.

“Ketch Sketch” in Nishinomiya and Fukuoka.

Physical comedy workshops in Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka.

“Ketch comedy show + mime lesson” at 38 public schools in Tokyo.

 

2023

Created a new family show “I am the big bad wolf” and performed in Yokohama and Tokyo.

Toured to Australia. “Ketch comedy show” in Fremantle and Melbourne.

“Ketch comedy show + mime lesson” at 43 public schools in Tokyo.

“Ketch Sketch” in Kobe and 4 cities in Hokkaido.
