Main Event

  • How can I attend the Main Event?
  • Tickets for THU 2017 are sold out. Subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates about THU 2018 tickets. If you wish to follow the Main Event, you can always check the Livestream and see THU wherever you are!  
  • When and where does the Main Event take place?
  • THU takes place in Tróia, Portugal, a beautiful peninsula just 50km south of Lisbon. THU 2017 will start on the 18th of September and end on the 23rd.
  • When should I arrive?
  • Pre-event activities usually start one day before the Main Event, so getting to Troia by September 17 is ideal. We suggest arriving in the morning for a relaxed trip from the airport to Tróia and time to settle in.
  • How do I go from the airport to Tróia?
  • THU provides a free shuttle service to all attendees between Lisbon airport and Setúbal, where you can take the catamaran to Tróia. There are no registrations for the shuttles this year.  When you arrive at the Lisbon airport, go to our THU Welcome Desk placed in the public arrivals area, at the bottom of the ramp on the right side, for those leaving the customs. Read more on how to get there. More information on shuttles will be published on this website closer to the event.
  • Where should I stay?
  • We advise you to stay in Tróia so you can be on time for the actvities and get as much rest as you can. THU has provided special prices for attendees in the hotels in Tróia.
  • What should I bring to THU?
  • Good vibes! And, because it's still Summer here in September, make sure to bring some sunscreen and bug repellent, since we have nasty visitors at sunset (Tróia's renowned mutant mosquitoes). We don't want to sound like your mother, but next to your swimsuit, do pack something warm for the chilly nights. And of course don't forget your portfolio, laptop and business cards.
  • It turns out I can't go, can I give my ticket to a friend?
  • Warrior Tickets can be transferred until August 31, 2017. Pioneer Tickets are non-transferable. However, whatever your needs, just write to us at and we will manage the situation.
  • Can I have a refund?

Recruitment Sessions

  • I made a mistake when choosing a time slot! What should I do?
  • In your user area, you can change the schedule whenever you need while there are still slots available and until September 17th (23:59 Lisbon Time). After that, the appointments cannot be changed. Send us an email to if you need help.  Keep in mind that if you are attending the Co-labs, you will be able to book appointments the 18th all day but on the 19th only in the afternoon.  
  • What should I bring to the recruitment sessions?
  • That would depend on what you are showing during recruitment or portfolio review sessions. You can bring your laptop or tablet (and an external disk in case you would need offline access) to present your online and digital portfolio, and you can bring your physical portfolio.  Whatever you bring make sure it’s updated and prepared for your interviews.   • I forgot my appointments, what should I do?
  • We got you! A list of all your appointments will be available on your user area. You will be able to download it and print it, or download the iCal and add it to your calendar.  
  • I still got questions!

  • I did not select any company / I haven’t been selected by any company, what should I do?
  • Maybe you were not selected for a recruitment session, you’re not ready or you’re not looking to be recruited at this moment. THU is a place where everyone can work on their path and find different activities.  There are relaxed portfolio reviews and career guidance sessions happening at the same time, no registrations needed. And you can always chill out with fellow Tribe members at the Oasis, the beach or any place where you can relax, draw or paint!  


  • Can I apply for the Co- labs if I attend the Recruitment sessions?
  • Yes. Just keep in mind that if you are attending the Co-labs, you will be able to book recruitment appointments the 18th all day but on the 19th only in the afternoon.
  • How can I be a part of it?
  • Participants will enroll in advance to participate in the activity. This will help balance the teams between disciplines ahead of time. It will also allow us to select participants in a fair and non-partisan way. You don’t need to send a portfolio in order to be admitted.  There are 5 teams with 9 participants each.
  • How much time will it take?
  • Co-labs start on the 18th of September and end on the 23rd of September. The daily schedule will be published at the same time as the Event schedule, but you work as much time as you’re willing to put during the work hours.
  • Will there be machines we can use at the event?
  • Yes, we provide the machines but you can also bring your own. Just keep in mind that if you do, you may face compatibility issues.
  • How pro do I need to be to get in?
  • Skilled enough to help the team move forward but professional experience is not necessary!

  • Where can I watch THUTV?
  • THU TV Volumes I and II are available on Vimeo. Vimeo works on multiple devices and allows you to watch THU TV anytime, anywhere, as long as you're connected to the internet.
  • I can't see THUTV. What should I do?
  • First of all, don't panic. We're always here to help. Write to and explain your problem. Please be as thorough as you can and include screenshots if possible.


  • How do I place an order?
  • Select the items you want from the THU Store. Choose the quantity and size of your item, add it to your cart, and click on "check out". Login or create an account to proceed. Insert your shipping address, select a payment method, and complete your order.
  • Can I cancel an order?
  • If you haven't received an e-mail saying that your order has been shipped, you're still on time to cancel it. Please see our Cancellation Policy for more information.
  • How much is shipping?
  • To estimate shipping costs, please add items to your shopping cart. In the shopping cart, domestic EU shipping costs are displayed as well as Rest of the World shipping costs.   • Which countries do you deliver to?
  • The THU Store delivers worldwide. Make sure to double-check your shipping address on checkout, as we will not be responsibile for delays or mis-shipments when an incorrect address is provided.
