Lazaro
Lazarillos
- Beatriz Garcia de Leaniz
“Lázaro” is a 12 minute Oniric Shortfilm made with 2D/3D animation and 3D/VR backgrounds (Quill + Blender) about an anonymous human named Lazaro, who after losing their body in a strange accident and being rescued as a spirit by a tyrannical blind woman a thousand years later, will have to find a new body before their holographic soul disintegrates. This story is about the relationship with one's body, identity, and limitations, and learning how to deal with it in a moment of change. "Lazaro" is a digital, surreal epic poem, in which an unexpected pure character contrasts the danger of a carnivorous post-apocalyptic world. Some aspects of this story are taken from the classic Spanish tale from the XVI century “El Lazarillo de Tormes” in an anachronistic manner, using these archetypes as a way to talk about identity. In short, the use of innovative tools will be mixed with an experimental approach to an old tale.
