Hugo is an award winning Director and VFX Supervisor working in the industry since 1999. After finishing his Masters in Fine Arts he worked as a VFX Art Director in Portugal, Sweden, and the UK. In 2010, he joined The Mill as a VFX supervisor and Head of the Nuke department building a full commercial department using Nuke and Hiero with more than 20 artists. Highlights of his career include leading projects such as the award-winning Audi 'Hummingbird', IKEA ‘Gnomes’ and the epic Call of Duty 'Ghosts' in-game Cinematics among others. Besides working in projects, he’s also a member of the Visual Effects Society, part of the advisory board of Escape Studios, and has been teaching and presenting lectures and keynotes all over the world since 2007.
