Alberto Mielgo was born and raised in Spain, and has lived and worked in London, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, and now Los Angeles. He’s known for his art direction on ‘Tron Uprising’, for which he received both Emmy and Annie Awards for Best Art Direction in 2013. Alberto currently directs animations, and works as an Art Director on his own projects. While in London, Alberto worked for Passion Pictures and with Pete Candeland as an Art Director on ‘The Beatles: Rock Band’ and Gorillaz projects.

Alberto extremely love animation as an art form and is currently writer and director for 2 projects that hopefully will dramatically change the fucked up annoying world of commercial animation. One of them for Oculus Story and the other is very personal and is not about heroes or animals and contains some nudity. 

He also makes money at Sony as the Production Designer on a new animated feature.

During his free time he likes to paint what he likes and what he can.
