Biography
Neville Spiteri is the co-founder and CEO of Wevr, the award-winning immersive content studio. Wevr was named one of the top 10 “Most Innovative Companies” in AR/VR in 2017 by Fast Company, and Neville was honored in Variety’s list of the “Top 30 Digital Media Executives to Watch” in 2017. Neville is a computer scientist and creative executive who is credited on critically-acclaimed franchises in film, video games, and immersive media. At Wevr, Neville was the executive producer on “theBlu”, a multi-award-winning VR ocean experience, and Gnomes & Goblins, an acclaimed interactive VR experience created in collaboration with Jon Favreau.
Prior to Wevr, Neville served as producer and Senior Development Director at Electronic Arts for five years, where he led technology and production teams, and worked on the hit series, Medal of Honor. Prior to that, Neville was the Director of Product Management for the ground floor team at EMC|Greenplum (now Pivotal), as well as film Technical Director and Digital Effects Supervisor at Digital Domain (Terminator 2: 3D, Apollo 13) and Square (Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within). He also pioneered machine vision technologies at the startup Perception Systems. Neville started his career at Wavefront Technologies as a software engineer on the original team behind the leading 3D animation software product Maya. Neville graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brandeis University in Computer Science and Cognitive Science in 1992.
