When art meets new technology, what changes, what remains, and how can we deal with it? This talk will tie together my career as an animator (during the film industry's transition from 2D to CG to CG-influenced-by-2D), my look development work (which is rooted in listening to, believing in, and empowering the artists I collaborate with), my work in VR (where I learned to respect and embrace an endlessly diversifying audience), and the current tech wave of machine learning.
