Description

I was born in Japan but moved to the U.S. in the early seventies, spending nine formative years there. Back then, it wasn’t ‘cool’ to be Japanese, so I worked hard to be as American as possible. It’s amazing how globally ‘cool’ Japanese culture is now, with people drawn to its diverse and quirky creations. This is my take on why so much weirdness originates in Japan and why it captivates the world.
